History of Czech Plant

Pacific Direct, s.r.o. (formerly WISAM) was established in the year 1993 by Mr. Martin Samek as purely "Speciality manufacturer of hotel toiletries and guest amenities". Soon the dramatic growth of trade sales enabled purchase of the first production machinery. Production commenced of quality toiletries products in 1995.

1997 was a key turning point in WISAM's development when Martin Samek sold a majority shareholding of 51% to Pacific Direct Ltd, UK based world-wide hotel supplier. Once associated with Pacific Direct Ltd, WISAM became part of a specialized global supplier for the luxury hotel market. There soon arose the necessity to be globally presented as the “Pacific Direct Group”.  The name "WISAM" was changed on the 1st January 2003 to “Pacific Direct”, and this was the last step for our companies to join forces.
